New Early Warning Siren System

is being installed in Raisin Township

09/25/2009 The first two weather warning sirens have been installed and are ready for use.

Siren # 1 is located at the Fire Station at 5525 Occidental Hwy.

Siren # 2 is located in Holloway.

Both sirens passed their initial activation today. The system is run using a 48 volt system which can still be operational during a power outage. The effective range of the new sirens is about 1 - 1/2 miles from their installed location. See the map below for the pattern that should be generated by the new sirens.

Raisin Twp Fire Department will be conducting a test of the recently installed early Warning sirens on Saturday October 3, 2009 at 12:00 Noon. The sirens are located at 5525 Occidental Hwy and 5737 Holloway Rd.
