SPECIAL MEETING

NOVEMBER 25, 2008

Meeting called to order by supervisor Carl Wagner at 6:30 P.M.

Members present: Debra Brousseau, James Palmer, Dale Mitchell, Lee Mohr, Delight Sieler, Betty Holdridge, and Carl Wagner.

Motion Palmer, second Sieler to move Item # 5 on the agenda to Item # 1. M/C

Motion Sieler, second Mitchell to approve agenda as amended. M/C

Motion Mohr, second Palmer to hire Jay Truchan as a part time officer with monies provided by Michigan Americorps Public Safety Partnership Grant, specifically awarded to Jay Truchan for a period of three years at $15,000.00 per year, with no outlay from the Township. M/C

Building Inspector Hutchison is working with the Planning Commission on the ordinance for signs within the Township.

Motion Brousseau, second Sieler to have OHM Engineering work on the Can Am Water Plant Facility proposed for Rogers Highway. M/C

Motion Mohr, second Palmer to adopt Ethics Policy as presented.

Second rescinded by Palmer, motion rescinded by Mohr.

Motion Mohr, second Palmer to adopt as amended with addition of Township under commitment of ethics. M/C

Motion Palmer, second Mohr to adopt Internal Financial Control Policy for Raisin Township. M/C

Opening bids for John Deere lawn tractor.

# 1 Robert Rothenberger $112.50

# 2 Eldon Lawhead $ 75.00

Motion Sieler, second Mohr to accept bid from Rothenberger for $112.50 for John Deere Model 214 lawn tractor. M/C

Board discussed fees for Building Dept and different fees for board requirement.

Motion Palmer, second Sieler to adjourn meeting at 8:45 P.M. M/C
