Harry Hutchinson, Building Inspector was present. He discussed the road situation in Raisin Township and what has been happening with the Lenawee County Road Commission. There have been a lot of questions from both sides and the Township Board is still seeking all avenues to try and get the roads repaired in Raisin Township.
There was discussion about road agreements and the possibility of including a requirement in the ordinances that road agreements would be required with new developments, particularly residential.
There was discussion about bonds and if those should also be included as a requirement during the planning process and incorporate that in the ordinance also.
There was discussion regarding the sign ordinance. Currently the sign ordinance is a problem, the way it was previously interpreted has resulted in a majority of the commercial signs in the Township do not comply.
