Minutes of Planning Commission September 9, 2008

Meeting called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Chairperson, Dale Witt.

Members present: Dale Witt, Steve McGee, Bob Utter, Jimmy Colburn, David McCrate and Cheryl Benham.

Ron Weber Absent – un-excused.

Agenda: McCrate motioned to accept 9-9-08 agenda, seconded by Utter. Motion carried.

Minutes: McCrate motioned to accept 8-26-08 meeting minutes as amended, change Harry Hutchinson to Building Inspector, seconded by McGee. Motion carried.

Public Comments: There were no public comments though there was a visitor observing.

Public Hearings: There were none.

Communications:

There was an update on Osburn Park, it is not eligible to be sold by the Township, and it might need to go to Circuit Court for a Quiet Title to sell. The intent when the property was deeded was the enjoyment of all residents of Raisin Township and Osburn Subdivision. It was supposed to be developed as a park. The Township Board is leaning towards circuit court action,

Training workshop program covering the enabling act and the updated planning acts to be held on September 30, 2008. Registration starts at 5:00 and the program ends at 9:00 p.m.

Meeting Business:

Unfinished Business – Land Use Plan update

There was discussion regarding the updated land use map designations and the map was finalized in draft form. Next meeting the map should be finalized. There was also discussion regarding the text for the designations.
